Lovey – lost but not forgotten.

My soul is eased by music. When I meet another Soul that is finding comfort in the music, I get stoked to know them.  I was blessed to meet my dancing Soul sister / on the rail dancer, Jessica. She was a pleasure to speak with, to look at, and to dance with!

I met her  at Otus supply in Ferndale, Michigan.   We got to see several shows in the same place, and enjoyed dancing on the rail.

I spent a weekend in Kalamazoo, Michigan this past June. Green sky blue grass plays a 3 day run at Bell’s brewery. The show was awesome. I saw Jessica there. She was wearing a fun outfit and looked so beautiful. As I saw her from a distance at first, I had to take the time to tell all the people I was standing with,  “that is one of the most beautiful souls I have ever met”…I then saw her and we had our last words. I told her what I just told all the people I was standing with (none of them I knew by name). She gave me a hug, and said thank you, we spoke for a moment, and then went on….I really thought I would see her dancing that night. I did not.

The next thing I heard on Saturday was that she passed away that morning. So many people were crying and in shock. We lost a good one.  The band played some tribute songs to her. It was heart felt. We all had tears.

Jessica leaves behind her son. This touches my soul.  Being that my 2 son’s lost their Dad 4 years ago, I know her sons life will be way more of a challenge. The grief will be something to handle forever.

I would like to do something for her son. Not just today but forever. For starters I made some glass to be raffled off. The money goes to her son.  I was commissioned to make a few pieces for this raffle, this is on facebook. You can get to it in the greensky camper group. Message me if this interests you. I also made a couple on my own that I will auction off on social media toward the end of July/beginning of August.

You can support Jessica’s family by donating to her Go Fund me

The bead with the white dress in front of the  rail is her as an Angel in her favorite place.  This was inspired by the Gentleman that commissioned the piece. Her favorite color is purple. So I made a bead with her soul Gesture on there in purple. I also made a bead with souls dancing within, and Jessica is in her fun outfit from the last time I saw her. Short red skirt, black tights, and I gave her a white shirt because she is an Angel now. (I believe she was really wearing a black shirt) One other piece has her on the rail with a purple dress. All of these are made with love, to celebrate a life lost too soon. Peace and Love to all!

Memory stone for Habilitat

May 30, 2017

Made Special for Habilitat in Spring, 2017.

The Hawaiian lieu lye’s beneath,in a circle.  Symbolizing affection.  The volcano landscape circles the piece above,  radiating red energy emerges from the volcano, circling a silhouette of two hands (a photo of my hands). A butterfly is released. A new beginning has begun. An Orb

The Eagle rises above, as each patient’s intention is set to do the same.  I was actually thinking the Eagle would fly around the piece. As I was struggling communicating with the team. (It took 3 people to make this piece as is.)  The fact is, the Eagle rising above is perfect. Each patient has that goal. To rise above and be the best they can be. Some things are meant to be. (Meant to be does not mean Easy.)

These tributes to Bob Weir are inspired by this photograph by Gabriel Jones. Only 10 marble/paperweights and 10 pendants will be made with this image. These pieces will be available at the website. He is an amazing photographer and he also sells some really beautiful tie dyes. Move me brightly He represents some Master tye dye makers. And he has a Rad marble available for sale. Totally impressed.

Love and light, and thanks for reading my blahg! Sometimes I like to share this crazy art experience….One day at a time, and all good things in all good time.

Around 12 months since my last update…I’m still here!

May 30, 2014

something new4I would like to take a moment and officially try to push the start button on my website (even though it is still under construction).  I am new, my life is new. As some of you know, last July My Husband, Ronald Nathe Morley, passed away unexpectedly. I am so sorry for our loss.  Myself and my children are healing. Ron saved 5 lives by donating his organs.  He hybridized many lily flowers we have yet to see be born. My family and I will be growing his babies to full maturity, naming them after him, and most likely donating to the lily society some bulbs each year.

I am truly Honored to have spent 1997 to 2013  with Ronald Nathe Morley. I am looking forward to sharing his art with you from time to time. (images here are of his art) I am also stoked to collaborate with his art and mine. (This pendant photo below is  in progress fusing his art onto glass) Stay tuned for the journey! As I venture back into selling my Art and living this life, thank you for being part of it!

This world is full of amazing people! We are here for each other.  It is unbelievable how many people have extended peace, love, generosity, heart felt thoughts……I can’t say Thank you enough for the generosity of others.  Thank you! YOU!

My first glass “event” since last year!!  I am Volunteering for the Michigan glass project this June 6,7,8. Come out and watch Live glass flame working and blowing. Check out the website http://www.themichiganglassproject.com ….some of my art work will be available for sale there. peace!

got to make it somehow

Bead and button in Wisconsin, and The Michigan glass project in Detroit

May 29, 2013
Angel in the light

Angel in the light

Beads will be heading out to Milwaukee, Wisconsin next week for the bead and button show!   My work is at the GLASSACT booth. 1 block from some of my favorite people!! Ross with ABR Imagery glass supply, and across the way from Margaret Zinser. Harold will be there next to Ross!! (This is my 7th year in the show! It is a good one!)

Get my beads while you can!! As My beads have evolved, so have I, and the future looks….different than how the past did!!  While I’m hanging out, trying to figure out how to raise a brood, I am honing my skills….like a Mad scientist!! I am really looking forward to taking my work to a new place! On with the new!

The same weekend as the bead and button show I will be participating in an event I am very stoked for!! The Michigan glass project (hosted by Urban Phesant glass) IN DETROIT, MICHIGAN  June 6,7,8,9.  Several glass Artist’s will be joining together to mix, melt and sculpt glass. We have several different glass types going at one time. Furnace workers, flame workers, neon workers! total crazy inspiration collaboration!!!!Open to the public. Music at night with cocktails! Visit The Michigan glass project for details. Glass beads, pipes, cups, dishes, sculpture you can buy….The borosilicate hollow tube glass blowers next to the HOT furnace crucible….what will these boys do? I am really looking forward to it. We have some serious talent emerging in the Detroit area! Like never before! Hope you can make it!

Running man marble, and my inside scoop

October 31, 2012

The Running man murrini from 2008! The ends of the pull. The big pieces! The idea – Where will we go from here? The whole Idea of having to get the hell out of here when the earth is no longer….This is the last marble I made with the murrini slices. I did sell some of it to other Artist’s, and I do have a few chips left (keepers).  I am taking this one with me to an Art show this weekend in Bloomfield hills, MI. at the Unitarian church (November 3, 2012).

My inside scoop…Lately it has been difficult to really define what is going on with my art. To put it bluntly, I would rather make art then spend time selling it. Not a whole lot is being listed for sale on line this year.  (I do expect a few listings toward the end of November…..I really need to hire help with that.)  So, I make art, and put it in boxes. Send some off to Galleries…  I practice new ideas and try to perfect them. I produce large amounts of mistakes, and work that is not quite there. Sometimes I doubt that my work will ever get there, or find there…..I am not sure I even know where there is these days.  Art is a lifetime commitment!

The bottom line!! Come see my work. Come see it in person at a show, or go to the gathered art gallery in Toledo.

Thank you for taking the time to check in.
